Meet our presenter, Maria Kast.
Maria Kast is the founder of CORE Leadership Development. From a young age, she has longed to live a life of significance- not just success and believes that an organization’s best assets are its people, especially when they are continuously being developed.
She graduated from RIT with a BS in Hospitality Management, which is the field in which she opened her first business – An organic, vegetarian café. This was years before Organic, healthy eating was a trend.
More recently, she had a successful eight-year career as a Sales Director in a global cosmetics company. Here she focused largely on her own personal growth and leadership development while coaching her team to do the same. The affect astounded her. They were all expressing more into their businesses and family lives through this intentional growth, and it showed up with significant results across all these areas. It was at the beginning of this career that she was introduced to the teachings of John Maxwell, and decided in 2016 to become a Certified Speaker, Trainer and Coach with the John Maxwell Team.
This experience became the foundation of her belief that for a business to thrive, it is the responsibility of the Leader to become their best self and empower their people to do the same. This creates a leadership culture, which keeps the company relevant, successful and significant for years to come.
She volunteers for the Junior Achievement and is a member of both the program and entrepreneurship committees. JA allows her give back to the Rochester community and pass on her experience in empowering tomorrow’s entrepreneurs.
In January of 2016 she began her company CORE Leadership Development. CORE carries out her passion for empowering leaders to develop a culture of leadership, moving their organizations from mere success to long lasting significance.
The best place to park is in the lot across the street (Euston). The crosswalk from the parking lot takes you right to the SW entrance and lobby.
